【TOKYO】Take me back to the first place made Korokke Soba!

"コロッケ (korokke)*" is a classic Japanese Western menu.
In the Taisho period, as well as the three top European dishes called "korokke'' along with curry rice and tonkatsu, come in various types depending on the ingredients used, but the one most familiar to the Japanese is probably "potato korokke". There are no potatoes in the French-made korokke, and potato korokke is born in Japan!

*コロッケ (korokke) : croquette

Korokke is a dish in which various ingredients are shaped and fried in a fried robe.

The croquettes of French cuisine are basically cream croquettes, with bechamel (white) sauce inside. Potatoes do not enter as ingredients. This croquet came to Japan in the middle of the Meiji period. Cream croquette was first served as a dish at the Rokumeikan, which was the state guesthouse at the time.

Many kind of Korokke Changed!

Originally korokke goes with curry rice but you know everything can happen in Japan so after korokke appeared, Japanese had tried to combine the noodles and korokke.
So we now have korokke udon and korokke soba!

Definitely couldn't imagine this will happen OMG lol
First let's visit a store that originated from korokke soba in Ginza!

One of the oldest Soba restaurants in Ginza is 『そば所 銀座 よし田』 . Founded in 1885. In other words, it is a famous restaurant that opened in 1868, straddles the four periods of Taisho, Showa, and Heisei, and still keeps the "Ginza soba taste".
