STORY 20 : A friend rather than repeater 2

Last week, I went on a business trip to Hanoi, the capital city of northern Vietnam for app development MTG!

The 6th time this year! They are communicators of offshore development contractor, but it was a really fun and meaningful time to go out with me for dinner every night!

Even though they are still in their early twenties, their eyes are serious although laughing, saying, “We don't want to be grandmas riding in a wheelchair without falling in love!"

Vietnam, which is growing rapidly, is an environment close to Japan 30 years ago, right? If you recall, I missed the Japanese saying that “women over 25years old like christmas cake couldn't be sold" ! ? 

Last time I introduced my friend Irene come from Hong Kong many times, but this time I will introduce Singapore's Wei, who is getting along better than Irene!

Friendly bank man - Wei

Wei is a Singaporean banker who has come to my house many times. So I always look at the stock chart when I come home.

Listening to a bank man feels like really conservative, but Wei is the opposite.

For some reason Wei's hobby is collect Starbucks card!

Every time go drink together like this, He's also good at studying Japanese, so it's always fun to meet every time!

Banker → Uber Driver → Banker

The first time we met, Wei was a hard working banker who was trading every day. 

But when met for the second time, the market was getting worse because of Brexit or something so he was fired.

So  I aksed what are you doing now? I was surprised to hear the answer was UberDriver!

After that, when I went to Singapore in the middle of my business trip to Vietnam this year, he returned to a banker again.

Banker → UberDriver → Banker→? ? ?

He came to Japan again in October this year, so I drank with three of his friends who are lawyers, but Singapore was hard because it was a high salary but you didn't know when you would run out of work.

Japan continues to be told that “uncle doesn't work is so many and productivity is low”, but Japan that doesn't get fired can be seen as heaven from their point of view! ?

Of course Wei is an Otaku

“Otaku” is already known all over the world as well as karaoke, sushi and ramen.

In my sense, young people in their 20s and 30s who come to Japan are almost 100% anime otaku.

Wei is probably an otaku too.

I'm embarrassed to see this! ? Lol

I've never been there, but recently there are a lot of otaku foreign customers like Wei, so there are shops that can handle multilinguals such as English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish and French. Otakus can't be trolled! ?

Besides, Wei remembers the name of the woman who went drinking with me perfectly, and remembers the name and birthplace of the girl at the bar!

"you are a stalker LOL !?" 

But it’s essentially an otaku, so even if you say it in the mouth, Shyboy Wei is really interesting when have a girl in front!

Intercultural communication life continues! !

Wei's hobby is the Starbucks card collection, and we haven't gathered all of them yet, so we will come again next year!
